Talent In You

Talent In You

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

Talent In You

Harsh critics of our own work
Why compare our expressions with the whole wide world?
Sneaky doubts can sprout like green foliage on trees
Evolving into stones that crash our unique identity
Our visions and ideas reflect who we are
Often induced by our past
Maybe we artistically reinvented ourselves
Maybe we started following our dreams
Hence, our true emotions we set free
So we talk about it in print
Tempted to fit into rigid templates
We repeatedly change what we create
Art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder
Why sculpt our styles and images to resemble others?
Being true to who we are
Our individuality
Our duality
Guided by the rebel spirit within
We influence our own footprints
There is only one of us
Unless your name is Everyone.
