Falling In Love With Your Unique SelfA Poem by Ambra CelesteFalling In Love With Your Unique Self ‘I want someone to love me’ we hear times and times again Maybe you said these words yourself All around searching for Mr Right The Knight in a shining armour who will conquer your heart The lover who always tells you how beautiful you are The companion who supports your dreams The admirer who is intrigued by your qualities Looking for the one who will make you feel complete Adamant that happiness will be then fulfilled In this strenuous quest, a very important aspect you forget The mirror effect Those inner feelings about yourself, the magnet pulling your contenders Their value of you reflects your self-worth How much is worth you weight in gold? Look deeper into your heart Is your self-love freely embracing all that you are? Or perhaps constrained by invisible self-loathing poles? Hence, if we don’t truly love ourselves If we are not proud of whom we have become What are the chances that someone else will do that for us? Don’t weigh your qualities against your flaws, no-one has reached perfection Hold in high regards the traits of your individual quirkiness Love the fact that you are different Get to know the depth of your thoughts The feelings that is behind all Falling in love with your unique self is a huge step Transforming the way you thought of completeness No longer looking for others for fill the gaps No longer allowing others to dominate you.
