The Fractal Cell

The Fractal Cell

A Story by Andrew Leister-Frazier
"

One blood cell wonders if he's part of something greater.

"
*Two blood cells float by one another.
"Hey Carl..." said the blood cell.
"Yeah?" said Carl.
"You ever wonder why we do this?" Asked the blood cell.
"Do what?" Asked Carl.
"You know, transfer oxygen and carbon dioxide to various places." said the blood cell.
"No, why?" Asked Carl.
"Because I was thinking, what if we were part of something greater, like a body or something." Asked the blood cell.
"Yeah right, a body, as if!" Dismissed Carl.
*The image zooms out to reveal a trucker driving down the road.
He picks up his radio. ""Hey Kyle, you ever wonder why we do this?..."
