Tony McAllister's Stars

Tony McAllister's Stars

A Story by Andrew Leister-Frazier
"

A friend wonders why his best friend is allowed to be heir to a dozen star systems while he has to owns just a dingy apartment.

"

"I don't get it," said Michael "All I've got is this little dingy apartment, why does he get to have entire star systems with lucrative mining contracts worth trillions of dollars?"

"Don't you know?" Kyle said. "Benny is an heir to Tony McAllister. A blood relative."

"Who's Tony McAllister?" Asked Michael

"You haven't heard of Tony McAllister?" asked Kyle, "Tony McAllister was the first to look to the stars and say 'dibs!'"

Okay, I guess it's a huge expansion on when, as youngsters, we put "dibs" on a seat by the window or the red go kart. Very good writing, Dayton.
