Birdcatching

Birdcatching

A Poem by Das Muffin
"

Something random I came up with. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't.

"

 Romance, a beautifully vicious bird

Pain for some, with a saddened word

A rare sight to behold for some to find

It flies away, when it comes to the time

Love is for one who can tame this bird

With sweet intent and sweeter word

And keep it happy in a cage of the heart

Take care of it well, and it shall never part

Life is the journey to find this bird

Along the way speaking careful word

As not to scare the possibility away

Of finding the love that will stay

With you for the rest of your days.

How you repeated some of the words works very well. A good read, thanks for sharing :)

I liked the way this read. It has a great flow to it and the comparison of love and a bird is one that isn't overused / cliche, but yet still works magnificently. The first stanza is my favorite; it gives a powerful message and in very concise in doing so. Great job, I liked it a lot.

A beautiful, solid poem! I like the comparison of romance to a bird...two lovely things. This looks like a contest winner to me.
