Ask

Ask

A Poem by ALB

I am a wisp pushed by the breeze,
the sun-strains in the evening,
a single drop of rain
in a midday summer drizzle.
I am the single yellow rose,
when the rest are pink.
I am the air you breathe.
I can feel you
pulling for me
asking me to come and be
the peace beside you,
the peace you need.

What do you say
about the one you're supposed to be with?
What do you think about
when she captures your heart?
What do you think about
when you can't think
of anything but her?
