EavesdroppingA Poem by ALBspring 09Girl: Are these hers? Boy: What is it? Girl: It's a thong, it was in your closet. Boy: That's not possible. Girl: Well in that case, I'll put them back on. --Exerpt from Duplicity
If I'm at the grocery store I giggle as I see a four year old girl with her hair in fifteen uneven braids playing patty cake patty cake with her sister in the front seat of the plastic car attached to the cart. I refrain from any expression at all as I walk up the stairs at the library passing someone sitting, using thier cell phone in the seclusion of the stair well and the single piece of converstaion that I overhear is I'm ok with everything except the drinking blood part. © 2009 ALB |
