SeasonsA Poem by PsycheA depiction of depression.Seasons For so long gone Is winter But still the cold wind Brushes against my cheek And brings about a coldness That I have never felt. Even though the Summer sun Shines so bright and clearly, Warming the night away, I still can only feel The aching chill Of nights and ice. And even though Spring Has brought forth a renewal of Life, beauty, and hope, The dwindling tempest Still storms its way inside of me And wipes away all that is good. At last it is Fall. And like the dying leaves Floating to the ground I am still frozen inside, numb With pain From being cold for so goddamn long.© 2017 Psyche |
