Oceans

Oceans

A Poem by Psyche
"

A poem about myself(I tend to write about myself a lot. A bit selfish, if you ask me!)

"

Oceans were made for holding

Deep and dark

They need much comforting

They have thousands of needs, needing to be met

And a thousand more

For all the creatures swimming in its depths

Oceans are full of tears, needing to be spilled

Yet they hold onto every last tear out of fear

Of being thought weak

That's why oceans are so salty, don’t you know?

That's why oceans are so brutal

That's why oceans are so scary

For they keep every tear, every fear, every feeling

They remember the damages and the wrongs

Every single person has ever done to them

Harboring every last ship of grief

Why can't oceans remember those

Who have fixed them and righted them

The fellow who cleaned up the garbage at its shore

The lady who protected its sea life?

Why are oceans so stubborn?

They can't even see past their own waves

Past their own shores

Their own sands

Oceans need exploring

They will not reveal their secrets openly

Someone must search and search

Until they discover that which was not known.
