Free Verse

She

colludes with raindrops

to weave rainbows in the sky

Her silver bathes the moon

As honey she coats

a mellow earthly morn

 

Her blush is a lilac-rose

Her footsteps are gold

She dons an amber crown

She is a wave that knows no sea

But she swims in the iris

of the bluest blue eyes

 

She’s the brilliance of frost

She kindles the sun

And a zillion solitaires

Yet her love beats in

the hearts of glow-worms

for little or no cost

 

She’s the reason candles burn

and imps frolic in Jack-O-Lanterns

Come dusk, she holds Erebus

in a trance, as she bids

joyless shadows to dance

Oh My!! is that the same person who wrote "GATES TO INSANITY"?! I'm speechlessly stunned! this is a "well written" masterpiece, more than just a beautiful poem, heavenly, mystical, mysteriously alluring... and I'm not saying that because I'm Light and Your poem's title is "Light", but because You owned it! some of the expressions are not just breathtakingly beautiful, they hold a high degree in the sense of what they mean. I specially loved and speaking of this,

But she swims in the iris

Am never flattering, and being honest I will say I could read it after every read!
Yes light knows no bounds. Truly couldn't pick a favourite verse, I find each containing equal celestial touch. Imgine even the powerful sun is null without light and all object would loose their value if light doesn't reach to them. I used to hate this chapter in physics for its mechanics but it's something to fallen in love with! You should've written this a bit earlier to let people know how poignant your write ups could be. No one can deny the second stanza of this piece. Cause poets like you write uniquely something new, poetry is alive!
