Ecclesiastical Enigma

Ecclesiastical Enigma

A Poem by Arrianna
"

Religious people make me want to vomit sometimes.

"
"That's not how it's supposed to be"
One's with one's, two's with two's
You know who you belong with
It's unnatural; you don't get to choose

"You cannot alter the way you're born"
Do not let your garments deceive others
How confusing it will be
If mothers are fathers and sisters are brothers

"If the land wants to be blessed,
if should not legalize sin"
We find a scapegoat for every issue
Instead of fixing the mess within

"How absurd! They shun us for praise,
but they can parade what they should hide!"
The faithful care not for the laws of man
By the Holy Text we shall abide

"How selfish of you..."
For those who were worked without stop
Our grip will never cease
Dismiss the dead without a second thought

Author's Note

Arrianna
Some of this is based off of personal experience. I live in the South, so most of the people here are really religious. (I'll probably get in trouble for putting this in the religious section)
