Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Arrianna
"

Life is a lot harder when you go through it by yourself.

"
The tundra takes no prisoners
Power through it or freeze
Teams trail the icy ground together
But I stand alone

You have years ahead of you
They'll go on to shape the future
While they learn to heal the sick together
I'll go off on my own

It's time to settle down
Find someone that will keep you grounded
The church will be filled with happiness
And me? I am alone.

Contribute to the new generation
Raise them right and they will shine
Countless characters that crowd the classroom
Still, I'm on my own

Rest in peace, you will be missed
Lay beside your friends in the darkness
Off in the corner, in my own blank grave
I will always be alone.

This doesn't necessarily reflect my personal life. Though I do find myself being the only one or by myself sometimes...
