3 Haiku of (Un)Production

3 Haiku of (Un)Production

A Poem by Aslan Gerards
"

A few poems I wrote in a Beat Lit. class I took this year. I'll be posting poetry to this site somewhat often, so comment and criticize away (I've always been a prose writer).

"

3 Haiku of (Un)Production

Drawing at midnight

Pink eraser rubs away

A thousand black shards of lost idea

A game locked

Fingers twiddling on controls,

Forgotten where I was again…

Sun falls near buildings and on yellow pages

Birds chirp around a never-read book

All screaming at each other for sex

Author's Note

Aslan Gerards
I did not try to confine myself to syllable count as I'm writing in english, not Japanese or Chinese. I tried to make the ideas as compact as possible though.
