The Struggle To Find Light.

The Struggle To Find Light.

A Poem by A Risen Heroine.

 Watching you walk away

shoving a dagger into my heart

hearing a silky voice

“I Love You...”

Yet you're out of sight.

Suffocating in the tears I cry

bound to the life you left behind

“Maybe we´ll end back up together...”

A silent whisper says

soaked in blood I dwell by our memories

Wishing you to come back home.

Music blast throughout my speakers

Drowning in the shoal of melodies

Longing for your touch

Your hugs and your kisses.

Weeks pass

Pain overwhelms me

I still feel you next to me

Where are you now?

Isn't something missing?

It's been a month without you

Tears falling to the ground

Blood soaks my sleeves

A monster beneath the skin,

thirst for the cold and sharp object,

Digging into my skin;

lanes of blood character-size;

The monster within.

Alone I stand in the middle of dark

“You won't get out!”

Those whispers in dark

Seem to be everywhere

Follows me everywhere I go

Is this where I'm supposed to be?

Should I stay forever in dark?

Stumble and fall

climbing and climbing

whispers seem to fade

branches flay my hands

sweat run down my body

Light at the top I can see

Yet I am not completely free.

Stones fall upon my fingers

Trying to make me fall

I will stay strong

I will not break

Free I will be

Forget about you;

Our memories will vanish.

Reaching the top

Light in my eyes

Air fulfill my lungs

What a relieve!

THIS is where I'm supposed to be

Surrounded by pure light.

Yet there´s one thing I learned;

This journey ain't easy

Stay strong and do not bow.

Life is beautiful my friend.

A great poem you have here! To be fully honest I felt like it went on a few stanzas too many. It might just be me. Other than that, it's perfect! Nice write :D

As always don't like long poems, but this was pure, good work.

A growth and expansion in experience happens only when we move away and find new ground. No doubt both sides are engaged in a similar endeavor. It creates a bigger playing field for the two of you to fill with things familiar and to view it in a new light of expanded conscious understanding.

The sorrow and misery of a heartache accentuated with the pictures from the reali life, both create an astounding effect on the reader. Well written.
