Beneath The Skin.

Beneath The Skin.

A Poem by A Risen Heroine.

"
Arose in my darkest hours
Yet the urge lies beneath the skin
Can't hide, can't run
Watching me fall, watching me laugh
Preparing for me to slice veins open
Sanity fought against Heart
Dragged the sword upon Heart
Shoved it deep into the red walls of blood.

The urge lies beneath the skin
Knocking upon my skin
Wanting to escape
Small itches; bites me
Tries to make me grab the sharp object
Nothing more than the urge is what I see
Wanting to escape
Wanting to watch the liquid run down in small lanes.

My sweet cold object;
Between my fingers I see
Nothing but its reflection of me
Wanting to cross my arm
Lanes of blood I see
Scattered all around me.

This work is fierce. Trying to control the fervent emotions of seeing blood but yet, it slowly creeps in to take you. This poem holds a deep darkness but it can sometimes drive us to madness.

As always, full of emotion, nothing short of heartfelt poetry, however I would like to emphasize that you diversify from the emotional poetry to other forms, it would greatly improve your skills.

Very sad and sorrowful, with self loathing and intent. The darkness and despair have a detached feel to them, yet the words are quite descriptive. Well written.

You create a wild and sad vision with your words. Description was strong and the strong statements create a vision of blood and pain. Thank you for a excellent poem.

God, man and nature in an ever spinning will to discern one from another. Round and round they go until one is willing to give in and let another go. A poem written by three hands.
