We Have Had Times.

We have had times I wouldn’t trade for the world

You were everything to me

But now I know, we’ll never be forever

But I guess that’s okay, as long as we’re still friends

I know we’re getting through a though time

But we’ll get through it all

Of course we won’t get out unharmed

We’ll try our best to get out alive

I’ve never been THAT close to the edge as I was

Somehow you took my hand, and pulled me through

You gave me the strength to survive

You wanted to protect me from becoming like you…

But…

It turned out all wrong..

Yet another relatable poem and very appropriate for me right now.
The 'as long as we're friends's line rang bells for me, but even those we have strong bonds with can fade from our lives (I'm currently going through a fading out process with my supposedly 'best friend' which is heartbreaking because we went through hell and back together)
