"We'll Be Forever."

Every each time he said "We'll be forever" 

I was happy... 

I believed in him...

But as he broke up... 

My whole world came crashing down...

All of those promises, plans, kisses...

Were nothing more than a long gone memory...

Third world war began, destroyed every little piece of my stitched heart... 

Nothing were left behind, nothing but my love to him..

Depressive.. so full of hurt. Its really nice. Though really, it is true that saying "forever" well... it might not last very long. Life is life.. life throws us in so many different choices we pick and choose a path to go on. But thats what makes a relationship so damn hard to let go off when it breaks.

I agree totally with Coytoe Poetry, forever a word giving permission to use and abuse. I've experienced that over and over in a forever world.

Forever is just a word to give permission to use and abuse. Only real evident of true love is a lifetime of loving and caring. I like the way you told the story in the poem. Sometime we need to hold on to the good memories and release the bad. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
