Open Your Eyes.

Open Your Eyes.

A Poem by A Risen Heroine.

Make up your mind, b***h

You meant something to me

But now,

You’re nothing more than a piece of crap.

As I lay here,

Broken and no where to find

My soul is shattered like a broken mirror.

I thought I was your friend.

Take a few steps backwards,

And take a look at what you’ve done,

Stop looking at the mirror, and take a look at others for once.

Open your f*****g eyes, b***h

It's very literal, and raw. Mystify your piece a little. Make the reader earn your anger, let it build, and drop it off suddenly so the reader feels the rampant rage and dissatisfaction you feel. Just a suggestion. Keep writing!

People can sometimes be so blind regarding their actions and consequences. They have no idea how much pain it might cause others, especially the ones who are close to them. The poem catches and builds upon this feeling well. Ofc, the use of slang intensifies the whole message.

Well done! :D

Strong, hard and direct words. Sometime hard to see damage done for the sake of love. If you look back. Few won't be scars by the disappointment and sadness of a separate. I believe better to say nothing at the end. Negative words will bite you in the a*s. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
