Promised to be there.

Promised to be there.

A Poem by A Risen Heroine.

I've been told to let go
To move on
Yet I think of those times
Where you and I kept laughing
Even if people thought we were crazy.

The love I had for you
Cant be compared, nor replaced
You wasnt just my best friend,
You were my sister
We may not be related
Yet I still feel that way.

I miss the times where
We talked about everything and nothing,
Sat on the couch and all out of sudden
Burst out laughing.
Where did it all go?

I promised to be there always
Now help me sew this broken heart.

It is good to be able to read your word again. I hope you are doing okay. Regret is hard to forget and forgiveness is hard to find. Time is a healer if we are lucky. I hope for a happy ending for you. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

A cozy ... warm ... and affectionate write about keeping promises ... and letting go. Along the way it dispenses a wisdom that is quite surprising and wonderful ... nicely done.
