The Fire and the Flesh

The Fire and the Flesh

A Poem by kenya smith

Do you smell it?

The burning flesh

Do you hear the screams?

Of those who are damned

They're screaming for help

The sound of the flames

Hush their pain

The children and adults

Are pushed in one by one

Flames take over their bodies

To burn their lives away

They're screaming in agony

No one can't hear or save them

The smell is unbearable

The screaming stops

And all that is left

Is the ashes

it's bad when no one cares about the pain of others, you've represented your piece well.
