Mirror & The Rain

Mirror & The Rain

A Poem by Mercury

He looked in the mirror with disgust...and anger
as if the reflection was not his own but of his enemy.
He cursed at it clenching his fists and hitting at the glass ,
wanting it to shatter into a million bloody pieces.
Hoping that next time it would reveal someone else .
A single shimmering glass tear fell from his eye ,
enough to say to himself he wasn't happy .
The boy couldn't take it anymore...

He stormed out of his bedroom and
wandered into the midnight streets ,
spitting out words of hate that needed to be said
but not heard by travelling ears .
When the rain came down ,
he took a deep breathe in ... And out.
Trying to feel more at peace
Because instead of drowinh in his own thoughts
He could drown his head in the rain
