Blurred Reality

Blurred Reality

A Poem by Rose Black
"

I lived in a place Where reality was blurred Where wherever you went, His face was still etches Into your thoughts.

"

I lived in a place

Where reality was blurred

Where wherever you went,

His face was still etches

Into your thoughts.

I'd moved around,

Trying to find a place called home.

Trying to not see

The decaying apartments,

Masked with graffiti.

My raincoat was used-

Wherever I went,

The sunshine did not follow.

Every morning when I woke,

To use the finest creams,

And apply my expensive make up,

No one understood

The circumstance I had come from..

I allowed bargains

To seep into my head,

Ever though I knew

It was only trickery.

The food I was given

Was absolutely tasteless,

And no matter where I went

These imperfections

Seemed to follow me
