Italia Cafe Moment

just a moment in a cafe with my wife

She sits across from me

looking up

glasses on the tip of her nose

disappointed

that she can’t buy a shiny dream

her eyes pale

her face drawn

she’s looking at that dream

just slightly out of reach

slight scent of coffee awakens

she’s brought out of her dream

with a baby smile

looks out the window at the rain

this is just a moment

it will soon pass

another dream will come

a new shiny dream will appear
