Three Dollar

Three Dollar

A Chapter by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

being overwhelmed

"

I feel as if I’m drowning

Deep into the ocean of life

Struggling to survive

Yet never reaching the surface

Taking a mouthful of bitter salt

Eyes glazing over

As the shimmering light disappears

O how I wish I could make it

To the surface one more time

It would ease my aching mind

Slowly becoming nothing

It's an excellent metaphorical poem. We seem to have the same style of writing, for the most part.
