Material sand

Material sand

A Chapter by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

about my odds with the modern world

"

I don’t understand materialism

The need to constantly have

The greed that wraps the mind

What’s the point of always buying?

Accumulating piles of junk

When you die they will become someone else’s possessions

It never ends

That cycle of constantly spending

Going in debt so you can look good

Materialism never sinks alone

They bring others down with them

Have we learned nothing over the years?

Does debt become a comfort zone?

I don’t understand materialism

The need to ruin life for the price of a tag
