Climatic Oblivion

Climatic Oblivion

A Chapter by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

about the inner struggle

"

Every second of every day

I do my best

To walk on the level

Staying away from black holes

Eyeing the hour glass

Feeling the silver chord

I fight Babylon system

Uplifting falling humanity

Understanding that many

Choose blasphemous lives

A prayer of Aaron I sing

Before the grand Architect

When I’m called to essence

In beauty I’ll surrender

Allah my light and my guide

Will judge my apron true

The All-seeing eye is watching

Watching all we do

Embrace the life you will

One of heaven one of hell

The All-seeing eye is watching

The pure sand burn by

As I have noticed is a trend in our poetry: interesting thoughts. I had to mull over the Babylon system line for a bit, but I think I understand it now: the Babylon system would be the causation of damnation/ shunning to those who strive/attempt to reach God/Heaven. To fight the Babylon system I suppose would be to oppose that cycle of causation and actually obtain divinity (or at least not be damned for trying)? I like how you still refer to God as your light and judge even after presenting what others might deem blasphemous. Powerful poem; thanks for sharing.

(I just realized that the acronym for Babylon System would be BS-- haha!)
