New Sneakers

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

cycle of life

"

Underneath the summer sun

We drive on and on

Underneath the winter moon

We drive on and on

Only to find that the party is empty

We’ve wasted our time and our money

Gulping down not too sweet honey

Now we’re old and have no place to go

All things have a curfew

You can try to fight it but it’ll do no good

Sooner or later the bouncer will get you

Throw you on your a*s

Then what will you do?

Life has conditions

Love has conditions

Nothing is free

Modern man lives without values

In a dream that goes against nature

Fight so hard to be immortal

You will give into popular way

You can’t win against God

On your couch reliving your glory days

Pathetic is what we’ve become

Live in the here and now

Enjoy the moments your allotted

Underneath the summer sun

We drive on and on

Underneath the winter moon

We drive on and on

This is really good man. I love the general feel of it, and i agree, you can't fight against God, and all we can do is live on until curfew...
