Lonely Island

Lonely Island

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

The awful truth about growing up.

"
Even looking through Kaleidoscopes
can become a bore
when all the colors blur to grey
when you no longer remember why
why you started to look

The scene you now see
no longer warm
cold and strange
you try to capture who you were
that version of self will never return

Every adventure has to end
though you must keep moving
the feeling of a lonely island
replaces the flame that ounce burned within

To Oz
To Oz
never again
now you must you continue living
just as your parents.....
