Syrup Syrup

Syrup Syrup

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

As we grow things change, even ourselves

"

Blue or red it doesn’t matter now

I’m in a different state of mind

Sewer system is all clear

Doubts are only fears

That will try to bring you down

Set yourself free from negativity

Jump into the light of love

Take a beatnik stroll

Grow your hair let yourself go

This world will do nothing for you

So leave it behind far behind

Turn off the Menorah in your mind

Everyday is Kwanzaa time

Only if you want it to be

Blue, Red it doesn’t matter now

I’m in a different state of mind

deep poet, we are ever evolving and changing, reminds me of a great quote I know. "Promise yourself to live your life as a revolution and not just a process of evolution.” Anthony J. D'Angelo
