A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

the night shift blues

"

Swollen sleepy eyes

Morning rain

Commuters pass by

As I rest my head

The world wakes while I drift

Days ease by

I’m lost in a week of dreams

Oh I've lived this one, having worked 11pm-7am shifts for a good chunk of my mostly jettisoned past...I was never alert enough to articulate it this well though haha

I too have done the night shift...I can relate to this because you seem to become this dream driven non entity and at time it is as if you are invisible during the day...AND night
