Pink Sun

Pink Sun

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

An early morning experience

"

Smooth jazz

Trickling down my spine

Faint water in the distance

Dancing dreams

Half melted ice cream

Juno resting at my feet

Clanking dishes

Smell of crescent cakes blankets me

Pink sunrise in earl grey

I used to always feel pretty good the first 5-10 minutes after waking up, especially when there was sun beaming in through the window while I smelt the coffee perking...kind of a "fresh new day" feeling, hard to explain, maybe it's the same kind of experience you write about here...sadly that feeling withered away with the progression of age and I'm lucky I even get out of bed now, but you helped me rekindle its memory a bit with your imagery here :)
