Flickering Light (K is for Kristin)

Flickering Light (K is for Kristin)

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

For the woman who has captured my mind, body, and soul, with a bit of life reflection

"

The light is flickering

Just like my life

In a second I’ll be gone

Faster than a melody in a pop song

So sit with me above the sunrise

Rest your head on my shoulder and hold my hand

We can speak without words

Kristen you ease my worried mind

A rainbow appears

No telling how long it’ll stay

Our love binds us together

Never forget all we have is today

Tomorrow is a never coming someday

I say a silent prayer to whomever

Hoping that our eyes will close the same second

Kristen you light up my heart

I’m not sure why I write

I seem to always ramble on

None of my mumbled words will express

Exactly what you mean to me

Words evaporate the second they are spoken

Smoke rings that become nothing

Even our shells will become less than dust

Kristen my essence belongs to you

I’ll hold you in silent meditation

Keep you from the world falling

Hours drink away like years

At a rate so fast it seems like slow motion

Still all my feelings I can’t hide

Watching the leaves twist by our bedside

Two spirits dancing the spiral waltz

Kristen all I want is you

Kristen I’ll spend my eternal life with you
