Garvey Tree

Garvey Tree

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

A tribute to Marcus "Messiah" Garvey

"

Marcus Garvey planted a seed

From that the tree of Knowledge bloomed

On one branch grew Black Zionists

On another Ethiopianism

Along with them grew the Black Hebrews

Beside them grew Islamism

Also Rastafarians come forth from the tree

Each group giving birth to other newer groups

So many organizations have their roots in the Garvey tree

No all can be named

A man is known by his fruit

Garvey has the best fruit of all
