Civil Europe

Civil Europe

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

Inspired by Hosea Easton who was an abolitionist who had connections to North Bridgewater and Middleborough in Massachusetts.

"

Boast not of your Civilization

You harbingers of ill intent

Say not that you are superior

So called civilized Europeans

You who used brutal tactics on each other

You who plundered the worlds natural resources

You who cast aside indigenous peoples without thought

You who treated your fellow humans as animals

You who chained your Black Fathers and Brown Mothers

You who have declared war on the Universe itself

Boast not

Crawl back your holes

Beg God for mercy

You abominations must end

The science of destruction must be taking away

A gift you were giving

A chance to be civilized

Chance to reach the seven layers of heaven

Graciously Black Kings and Brown Queens taught you

Asiatic philosophers, Artists and builders aided you

Instead of growing in peace you grew in savagery

Instead of becoming enlightened you hollowed the earth and stayed in the dark spaces

Forcing your ungodly will on all of the inhabitants of earth

Ask for mercy

Beg God for mercy
