Alamut

Alamut

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

about the Old Man in the Mountain

"

Alamut

Place of wisdom

Home of the great leader Hassan I Sabbah

He who preached the truth

The dogmatist could not bare it

Even Jalal al-Din tried to escape it

But the way cannot be changed

Lies melt in front of the mighty flame

Many let out joyous applause when Alamut was destroyed

Those who loved Alamut clung to the Old Mans teachings and passed them on

Now Alamut is stronger than ever

Alamut

Place of wisdom

Home of the present day Moors
