Question Bulleh Shah

Question Bulleh Shah

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

an observation

"

What good is memorizing prayers and reading chapters and verses?

Why dress up ounce a week?

Light your candles

Listen to a service

Do the dance of ritual

I question because after you go and are done being holy

Wining points for heaven

You go back to swearing, lusting, and doing vile things

Tell me please

Where is the place for hypocrites in heaven?

Reality Shovel

Take your rules

Your laws

Your concept of religion

Your concept of society

Shove them up your a*s

Be creative

Write poems

Make a song

Break away from conformity

Live life

Grow young

Every second you live

Every second you die

Do what’s important to you

Before you can’t do anything at all

Take your reality

Shove it up your a*s
