Adamites

Adamites

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

This poem is about a Christian sect that were around from the 2nd to 3rd century. I found them so interesting that I had to try to capture the essence of this movement in words.

"

Walking in paradise

Holy and naked

Frowning on governments and marriage

Free from cloth sin

They live in grace

Marriage is posesion

An evil they hate

With sexual handshakes they greet

No shame, no blame

They live in the Garden

The fall never happened

Sinless

At-one-ment

Adamites stay in the Garden

Don’t venture into the sinners world

They will hate you and kill you

Wipe you from Gods marble earth

Adamites stay in your Garden

Or you’ll be forced to wear clothing

Tuxedo of death

A valley pit grave

Stay in paradise

Holy and naked

Holy and naked
