Self DestructionA Poem by HopelesslyTragic
Rage bubbling to the surface,
Masked behind non genuine laughter, And smiles twisted tight. Stemming from internalized fears, Unresolved traumas, Promises broken. Released only by the swinging of fists, Raising of voices, Aimed at the very ones we claim to love. A self destructive hurricane, Of misplaced emotions, Put upon the unjustly blamed. Debris showing in the form of, Purple, yellow, green swirled bruises, Raw throats, missing voices, And tear stained cheeks. Heavy with feelings of guilt and regret, Looking every direction to find the source of the chaos, Only to find, It's you. © 2023 HopelesslyTragicReviews
