SERPENTS

This is my life, The problems i faced and MY FINAL LIGHT

I was walking through the plains of life,
The Grounds were crystalline & quiescent.
And Like the halcyon ave I dashed and drifted

One day it came
It came to me, then possesed me.
Or was that I myself, i dont know.

I was feeling venomous of late.
I could feel that forked tongue in my mouth
Was that I my self-
I dont know
(next set)
No.. It was inside.
It was dancing wild
It was twisting & slithering
I could feel those two fangs-
With a pain in my heart
Or was that i myself-
i dont know.

No.. It was outside.
I could see those eyes
Those red eyes staring at me
Its mutating, Its sprouting heads
Ten, hundred, thousand heads.
Its filling my heart with-
The oozing venom.
Or was that i myself -
Idont know.

I was afraid, i was scared
But i didnt let them take me, i told-
No.. Dont touch my soul-have my heart

Then i ran, i ran for a shelter.
I went to Guru, I went to priest.
Iwent to the Hills and I went to the seas
But never did i find-
A shelter or an answer
(next set)
Finally i fell on my knees,
With only the soul left inside
I held it closer, closer than ever
And shed tears, not water but my blood
(next set)
Atlast it came,
The light, The revelation
With that light i walked again,
Then i ran and i fought.
(Next set)
And now i stand
I stand with five serine perceptions
And serine sensive deeds.

I don't know much about poems but i think the odd mind of this new bro did marvelous job to create this touching poem who describes his life through a serpent (personification) usage. A very well done for a young poet Abhai Sankar keep it up!!!
