Let’s Change the World

This is a poem on climate change.As the world is witnessing global warming,our glaciers are melting,there is a drastic change in climate.So we should take measures to prevent environment degradation.

          

Hell might be a better place than this city, the city ah! The city!

Ah! Looking at you my heart wrenches with pity.

The smoke and dust filled the environment making it difficult to breathe

The suffocation, the exhaustion and the pollution reminds me of Lethe.

 

The slums, the favelas and the rookeries are stain on the face of development

The crown of creation needs a time to ponder on this before there is too much detriment.

The fall of the forests and the extinction of wild life are gruesome and unimaginable

The changes in monsoon, melting of glaciers, floods, earthquake and Tsunami are unfathomable.

 

Let us return to the nature as it has a healing touch

The world should be free from evil hands clutch.

It’s time to rejuvenate our diseased bodies and lungs

Protect our just born, the old and the young’s.

 

The public transport is good for all

It saves fuel and also gives a way for some footfall.

The cool breeze, the earthen pots are better than the air conditioner and fridge

It brings us closer to earth and we will never have a bridge.

 

The changes in climate is serious in tone

Man has to take action before he gets too much groan.

If we do not realise and take necessary action
