Chidhood

This is a poem on childhood. Everyone always cherish the stage of childhood. This period is marked with innocence , pure love , happiness and no show off.

Childhood

                       

Childhood is an age where you will not be in a cage

Fly freely as a bird wherever you wish at this stage

Childhood is a period full of innocence

The child doesn’t know any kind of magniloquence.

 

Heart as pure as gold and mind uncorrupted

Carrying on the things which you like uninterrupted

Playing hide and seek, climbing fences with friends will be fun

Always you will be ready for hit and run.

 

There will be no stress, no worries at this time

Having nobility of thoughts and qualities sublime

Laughing at the things which gives you joy

Never know any kind of discreet and  ploy.

 

In childhood you will be busy with something

One always finds you  singing and humming

The simplicity at this stage doesn’t’ differentiate good or bad

No matter what others think of  you  or what you had.

 

You will always  remember this period in life

Which is free from any kind of hatred and strife

Enjoy these moments as much as you can

Cherish these moments in later part of your life span.

I was very fortunate and had a lovely childhood. My parents were young, but they were kind and loving and my four grandparents were close neighbours. Not much money, but so much love. I have lots to reflect on and be thankful for. Sadly not all children get the love and care they deserve. Lovely poem Abdul. Happy Sunday.
