PRAYER FOR MY BELOVED SON

This is a poem in which the poet prays for his son. The poet express deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty for blessing him with a son .

A baby is born to me and I am on the seventh sky

It brings a sea of happiness and keeps my spirits high.

Beyond imagination is the process of birth

O God, grace is to you for this uncontrollable mirth.

 

O God bless my child, keep him safe and sound

Keep him always happy and contented all around

Let him acquire knowledge, which makes him modest and humble

Never he may have pride or arrogance and let him not in any way stumble.

 

Let him learn and play at the early age

Do good deeds and in noble work he may engage

Let him cherish rich values, customs and tradition

May he usher great revival in the society and brings a desired transition.

 

Let him do duties to the best of his abilities

Keeping in mind the sense and sensibilities.

Make him resourceful and an asset to the world

May his name and fame forever unfurled.

 

Oh Almighty protect him always from any harm

Never may he fall in any superficial charm

Always make him surrender to Your will

May all his valid wishes and desires You fulfil.
