For Fear I Cannot SayA Poem by JoshAs the skies turn black and solemn, against the winter's chill I meet; a child of sin so drenched in blood, From his claws down to his feet.
He turns his head so slighty, as to study my intrusion here. And I feel that chill upon me, my death so suddenly near.
I saw the eyes of flashing menace, and the smell of wild dog. Were I to wonder here this night, through the forest of poison fog?
I made one sudden movement, and then sprang from such a sight. As my heart began it's pounding, ever more in fright.
I knew it was upon me, before I felt the pain. The claws digging ever deeper, ripping muscle, tendon, veins.
As I let go of consciousness, and struggle in my mind to pray. Why I thought it would save me, for fear, I cannot say.
