Turning Point

Turning Point

A Poem by Aianarie (INACTIVE)

If I had taken the other path

Where would I be now?

Many times I have contemplated

The many-faceted image

Of myself,

In a far different place.

If I had chosen darkness instead

What would have become of my soul?

Often I have cried to think

That so often I had neglected

My Saviour,

Who suffered everything for me.

If I turn around now

Would I go the alternate route?

Every time it rains, I look up to the sky

And remember every blessing

In my life,

And continue on my way.

Dear fragmented.dreams,

This reminded me of Wendsday night bible study in which I was passionately swept away into a series of questions that fired me up. I started to think about how I had been blessed and danced my pride because of those blessings. Sometimes, indeed, I wonder what it would have been like to stay in the darkness, but I can no longer go back.

My favorite line would have to be, "Every time it rains, I look up to the sky/And remember every blessing/In my life,/And continue on my way." I absolutely adored this line.

Thanks for sharing.

Sincerely Livana Lowell (LL)

God bless

All of us wonder where we would be in we chose a different road and life. I believe easy to fall on the bad road. Hard to stay on the good one. If somehow we land on our feet and have love close by. We did Okay. I like the journey you took me with you in the poem. A very good ending to a outstanding poem.
