Soul-Searching

Soul-Searching

A Poem by Aianarie (INACTIVE)
"

#3. (read "In the Midst"'s descrip)

"

My soul is a feather pen

Perpetually without an ink pot

Writing invisible words

On never-ending sheets of parchment

Words only know by the depths of time

Eternally forgotten by this world, even I,

Will one day be parted from my mortal heart

Overflowing sentiments that mean nothing

But for a fleeting moment

Why must even art be but transient beauty?

What purpose does this love of mine serve,

If only to be swept away into nothingness once more?

To ashes will it all, because once it was and shall be

But I will continue to write these words, for You

Because my soul shall remember; shall forever live.
