In The Midst

In The Midst

A Poem by Aianarie (INACTIVE)
"

The first in a trio of quick poems I came up with today. Enjoyyy~

"

In the midst of things

So many times I’ve sat and wondered

Where I am now,

Is this where I truly want to be?

My mind and heart have both wandered a split road

Two alternate realities--nay, fantasies

Only then did I realize that I couldn’t have both--neither,

So I let go, of the darker side of me

The side that went far too deep into the forest

Into a realm of shriveled trees and dead leaves

Broken, fallen souls,

That will walk on for eternity

Going nowhere

Searching for the white dove

That they may never find.
