Things Not to Be HeardA Poem by A.E. ReedWhat I think when my father and step mother fight.I hear it from my room Hoping it would end soon They fight over small things Regardless of the pain it brings They go from one to the other Between him and my mother He doesn’t get her And there words are just a blur I can’t help but cry And inside, I die The curses and harsh words fly through the air Saying things they wouldn’t dare It happens all the time So often it should be a crime I want them to stop A stupid fight they need to drop
