In the Dark

She had hopes and dreams like everyone else and he father destroyed them by destroying her.

In the dark I feel alone

Wishing for a better home

The pain and fear fill my head

While he beats me half dead

There is nothing I can do

As my body turns black and blue

My screams of pain

Can never bring him to shame

He goes to the bar

And on the ride home crashes his car

Then comes home to a gambling mother

Who could gamble like no other

He hated me from the start

But I was smart

I learned to please him

On such a simple whim

To have a better life

Without an evil man and his wife

But one day it was over

And he still wasn’t sober

That night I took my last breath

Saying hello to Death

Killed by my fathers hand

A hatred for me, I could not understand

I was really bored and just woke up form a nap. Child abuse is wrong people.

wow this is a great story and it shows people that sometimes child abuse is deadly, and drinking is the most common reason why it happens. this is a great piece of writing though:)
