First DateA Poem by Adam Lain
I didn't intend to catch a blade and not sacrifice fingers,
nor was it a decision to love without countermeasures, but, idiocy are standards, so don't raise yours, thinking I can descend above, for I am a simple man; a man with low whispered principles and tiny utterances. Don't cleave your ambitions to lay seeds of our engagement, for the buds, oh how they lay! the contempt I have for this unrequited fruition, yet to my dismay you will let it be, you wouldn't have it any other way, only for me. So I will take the scythe, with a cloak draped clad in cliche, and I will shave away at the earth, tearing at the soil; scars that crumble, and I will deprive this of taste, leaving a unfulfilled, dull afterthought. I will rip the flaws away, so plain and beautiful, and in the end I will make you loath me, so much so that you will only stay so I can mirror your experience; A self sacrificing pleasure you will play with, oh this dirty love we will grow. I hope this beginning, your land, will stay barren and infertile. I despise this thought, your Eden of insecure measures. Don't take me with you...Oh God leave me ignorant of your brilliant love! Your just not my type
