Aalborg

A Poem by A.A.

You took to me with open arms

You sheltered me and gave me space to form.

Uninvited, I came naked,

And you welcomed me as though I was your own -

You gave a wayward son a second home.

I have so little else to give

Than a sign in the trail that I leave

As I travel. Scratched in ink, I mark:

An unknown town, where the hearts of the people are good.

Etched in the Earth. I'd have lived there if I could.

I love this poem...it reminds me very much of Frost, who will always be one of my favorites. Simple, honest, unpretentiously robust. Very nicely done! --Megan
